I've had the 240mm version of this cooler, which I RMA'ed after a week - the VRM fan starting making alot of noise. ![]() Also as the radiator is alot thicker it doesn't mount easily into alot the roofs of alot of cases without conflicting with "standard height" RAM. The new kit stops fitment to AM4 boards made by the following companies MSI, Asus, Gigabyte and Asrock.Ĭheck Reddit and the comments in Artics own install instruction videos for examples of the boards affected. However the Revision 3 mounting solution is not to AMD socket spec and as such the mount can conflict with M.2 heatsinks, motherboard capacitors/Mosfets, even RAM slots near the AM4 (AMD) socket. Arctic have released a Revision 3 of this product with an "easier" mounting mechanism, addressing the only complaint about the Revision 2 version. Before you buy, check your case and motherboard compatibility with this cooler by emailing Arctic (there are few other ways to check aside from YouTube and Reddit). ![]()
